Since 1993, the Greater Columbia Marine Foundation has hosted the USMC Ultimate Challenge Mud Run which has grown to attract participants from all across the United States. In 2010. the USMC Ultimate Challenge Mud Run reached capacity with 3,600 teams and over 14,000 participants, making this the LARGEST Mud Run in North America. Because of the overwhelming response the Foundation made the decision to host two events per year. This will allow organizers to provide a higher quality event for everyone involved.
This annual event was created to raise money, awareness and support for Marines and their families around Columbia SC and across the nation who have been wounded or killed while serving on active duty. Profits from the Mud Run are also used to support several local college scholarships which have been named in memory of Marines killed serving their country as well as local events which promote the Marine Corps in the community.
Thank you for your support of the USMC Ultimate Challenge Mud Run!
